Just wondering to those that have installed thier thermos themselves.
What temperature switch did you use (I mean the one that plumbs into the thermostat housing). Looking for make, temp switching point and part # is possible. Oh yeah and did you tap it into the well a the top right of the casting? Cheers, any help will be appreciated!

Alot of guys use the Davies Craig thermo switch, with the probe which goes into the upper radiator hose.
I just run a single EF thermo on full speed off a relay which is triggered from the output of the fuel pump relay. Keeps temp spot on the N. (first letter from the blue on an EB mid series dash)

just get a davis craig switch, works great in mine, but also have another relay to trigger when you put the a/c on (my a/c has never run cooler).

I got the sensor from BPT in perth. Dont know the details on it, but it died after a few months. Had to disconnect it to get the thermo's to work.
(Still too lazy to find out the details so I can get a new one) I got a new thermostat housing when I did mine... incase we fudged up.. $25 from auto one. (better than the $250+ ford wanted)

im running the probe davies craig style one, it works great.
i just completed it this afternoon, so yet to see how long it will last. we deal with vdo, and vdo makes a high-temperature warning light kit that is adjustable. What you do is instead of having a light there, hook up a relay to it, and have it run your thermo fans, as it's a sender that can go in your block (apparently). this is what i will be doing later on, i think it retails for around $130, but if it will work, it'd be well worth it.
