Heater box. But if you want to stay at 302 cubes then drop an EB-AU v8 in there. Fits like a glove.

I know this is a slightly old topic, but I am looking at doing this to my car to.

With the emissions thing, I have been led to believe that, if you are retrofitting a car with a newer engine (eg EB V8 engine into an XF), the emissions have to be the same as what they were for the car the engine came out of.
Whereas if you are fitting an older engine to a newer car (eg an XC V8 into an XF), the engine has meet the emissions standards of the car you are fitting the engine to.

Is this correct?

Unless they have changed regs lately you are correct, best to contact the engineer you will use to pass the conversion before commencing any work.

i have done the xg with ebv8 and trans , ac compressor is a tight fit but i pulled mine off and havent refitted it.

in adelaide you have to get a statement of requirments from regency park for the conversion out lining the requirements then present for an inspection, i have the statement but not gone for inspection.(will pass once i have done up the front end.

if you or any one is serious about this pm me and i can give you details on how i went about it.

many options depends on money and what you expect out of final results

all in all not much of a power machine really,am going to start turbo 6 driveline for it soon.
