Hey all, ive undo all bolts on the timing cover but just need to remove the big round thing where the drive belt spins on and is conected to the crank. Ive undone the bolt which goes in it but not sure how it comes off. i think there are other small bolts. If so, where?
Cheers Adam

theres also a couple of bolts underneath, you'll have to lower the sump or remove it.

Also remove the chain tensioner piston.

The cover also is mounted on dowels on the bottom so try not to lever it down from the top.

So i have to lower the sump and remove the bolts which are covered by the sump?

Sump bolts go straight up, You need to... at a minimum remove the first 5 going back in a row. (to front ones screw into the cover) and also loosen the rest of the sump ones. (besides the rear ones) just so you can lower the front of the sump about 1-2cms.

The sump seal is pressed into the timing cover when you tighten the sump.

Its not really that hard, its just damn time consuming and messy.

once you have the radiator out, power steering bracket and belt tensioner, your at the point of no return!

So since it has dowels, the timing cover has to come straight forward. Hence why the sump has to be lowered.

Got ya.
Thanks for both of your help.
