I have been fitting a Climate Control setup to my EF. I Have replaced the complete dash with a Fairmont harness / BEM etc. and of course the C.C. bits.
I have one question now and that is where does the vacuum that connects to the back of the climate control module come from exactly? All I have is the module with no air fittings to give me any clue. Do I have to 'T' off from one of the existing lines or ??? A couple of points to note:- 1. The heater box is full of leaves, these can be got out through the fan speed controller hole. 2. The heater box needs to be modded to fit the electronic fan controller. 3. The recirc flap is probably broken 4. The front 2 screws are enough for the blend motor It took me all day to remove the dash the first time, took about 60 mins the second time. Overall its more trouble than its worth. Cheers, C |

Yes there is, theres one black vac line there to draw airflow to the thermistor (cabin temp pickup) located on the bottom of the unit. It plugs into a reducer going from the combination plug imbetween the recirc flap and the heaterbox. It joins just after the mounting clip located to the left/centre of the heater box itself.

Thanks for the input!
I kind of figured that was the place. I did not get the tube from the controller to wherever I wanted to be sure. I re-cycled one from the manual setup. Cheers, C P.S. Krytox do you have a life? You know a hell of a lot about Ford things! Fortunately for myself and the many others you've responded to. |
