Hey guys, got some new front door seals today and I'd like to fix the front doors up.
Now what's the best way to go about "aligning" or rather lifting the front doors and losing my sag problem? Can I do it myself, and what do I need and what do I need to try and do? Any tips, or proceedures on how to rectify the problem? Thanks guys.

Okay, so I should replace these hinge bushes? That's all there is too it. Nothing else is worn, or ot of alignment?
Don't have to go out there and physically lift the door and retighten the bolt? Lol.

i had to do my drivers front door and just loosened the hinges- lifted the door till it sagged level- tightened up the hinges and adjusted the pillar catch thing.(i know it has a technical name but i forgot it). oh and you might have to re-align the front guard to match the gaps better too.

if you take the door hinges off the body just check that where they bolt onto for cracks in the metal. my doors sagged a bit and i found that it was the frame cracked not the hinges (might be just mine though)

Thanks for help lads. it was about 6 months ago, but once it has sagged and you adjust the hinges, it shouldn't move much more. anyway it's free to try it, so you've got nothing to lose. |
