yer the xr8 bonnet bulge welded onto your existing bonnet wont crack but i could dent.
but the same force that would course the dent would probably put a fair crack in the fibreglass.
if your worries about the bonnet cracking get the metal bulge welded on.

Why get a metal bulge welded on? For the amount of effort and labour involved (and there would be a fair bit to have it 100% perfect that you can't tell it's been added) in that you might aswell buy a full complete XR8 bonnet.

 geez some people...
i explane in my post why.
and i think what exeryone else has said proves my point.

No not really mate. You talk about having a metal bulge fitted onto his stock bonnet.
At the end of the day, it's going to take a fair bit of labour and a s**t load of work to get it 100% that you can't see it's been fitted - he's already said he doesn't want it looking like it was plonked on.
Therefore, he's far better off getting a genuine metal bonnet made with it.

I reckon keep the bonnet you got. Its not an xr8? remember? when you try and sell it, someone will say whats this bulls*&t on the bonnet.

I have an XR6T and I wont be shoving the XR8 bonnet on mine. People will think its an XR8 (and slow)
