yeah, I figured I had problems...
It makes a lot of noise but feels like it's doing nothing above that. When you say it could be fuel, injectors? pump? both?

start by changing the filter and then put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what that shows you.
You'd need to also watch the air/fuel ratio's etc and see what they show, it could also be a tune problem. |

Back on the diff topic...
What size diff is in our cars? Is it 8.8"? Just looking on the Summit site and want to order a new diff cover with my engine bits to go on when I get it rebuilt. Would these gears fit? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku

no, the 8.8 parts wont fit.
The borg warner diff is a 78 series, therefore is approx 7.8" also you pronbably wont find a diff cover to suit it outside of australia either. You'd be much better off sourcing the gears locally as freight will cost you more then they are worth |

I got the diff oil changed out yesterday when the rear rotors were getting replaced. Only an extra $20 and $20 well spent! It's given the diff a whole new lease on life. They reckon it probably hadn't been changed since the car rolled off the showroom floor. I've given it a bit of s**t and tested it out on a couple of corners where my right wheel went silly and now it just goes.
I'd recommend it to anyone who feels their diff seems to be lacking.

So scaffy mate, are ya still looking at rebuilding the LSD and getting different diff gears?
If so i have to agree with Aldo @ AD Diffs in Balcatta, got my last ute done there(3.73's in the auto 4L) and done a top job and great price.

$1000, but you can get that and a brand new LSD centre fittted with the 3.73 gears for around the $1400 mark but i couldnt afford the extra $400 at the time. Definately better off doing both at the same time.

hmm ok... cos im thinking of putting the 3.73s in XR6 (auto) and putting the XRs 3.45 in the ute (has lokka)
i might give them a ring to see how the diff gears alone are. |
