Fantastic bloody race!
Well done for the Ford 1,2,3.
Those last 12 laps, the damn race just erupted! Went crazy. Cars going into walls, leader going from 1st to 4th.
One of the best 10 laps ive seen at bathurst.
Very intense ending.
Can watch that over and over again i reckon!
None other then Lowndes winning topped it off!

The new GT COBRA looks good :D

mmmm... what's different with these new cobras compared to a normal GT??

http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-press-release/the-new-limited-edition-302kw-cobra-r-spec.aspx

“Several changes have resulted in the increased performance, including improvements to the volumetric efficiency of the engine above 3750 rpm,” said Cook.

“This has been achieved by a new inlet and exhaust camshaft profile to increase inlet valve lift and duration, with changes to the valve and valve spring to accommodate the increased valve lift.

The compression ratio has been increased from 10.5:1 to 10.8:1, which has improved combustion efficiency through the scavenging of combustion gas.

The engine calibration has been extensively revised to optimise the engine operating conditions with the new components, while improvements have also been made to improve accelerator response.

The FPV GT Cobra has been optimised to run on 98 RON premium unleaded petrol.

Yet you can still get a s**t more neddies out of it with a simple flash tune.

yes but will it still 100% meet the emission laws and also be reliable enough to warrant for 3/100

With enough dyno time and a 5 gas analyser anythings possible. Besides emissions runs are not full power runs. they are simulated daily driving with medium to heavy traffic runs. Lots of light loads and low engine speeds. You could keep it stock to say 3500rpm then really let loose up top. Anyway that's beside the scope of this thread.
