The HPC coating done on exhaust systems is a ceramic coating isn't it?
Is it done both inside and outside the pipes or outside only? |

Is that not just heat proof paint your refering to - such as the VHT stuff. When I say HPC I refer to stuff like these guys do - http://www.hpcoatings.com.au/ or http://www.jet-hot.com.au . |

well i was wondering if hpc and ceramic coating are the same thing too. im getting a ceramic coated set of pacies soon and the ceramic coat is inside and outside the pipes. pacemaker claim the ceramic coated ones flow better cos of less friction and produce less surface heat from the pipes.

Yup, ceramic coating is done inside and out. Depending on what else they add and do to the coating it can have different finishes such as black and chrome etc. and different temp ratings. But its still a ceramic coat.
