hey guys ive got 2x jl w3v2 subs sitting here both are definatley the same model both bought from jb hifi one 2 years after the other. one was in a sealed box made by jb hifi the other was in a ported box (the one with the jl logo on the round bit and 750w total power on 1 end and something else on the other end) both are 12" but bot have different backs. the dustcap/cone bit is identical on both however the magnet looking bit looped around the back of it one is thicker than the other and that one also has stickers on it whereas the other one doesnt have the stickers. ok both subs are 2+2 ohm and have had their coils wired up in series to 4 ohm. (amp to pos neg to pos neg to amp)

im well and truly stumped..

anyway im going to be putting them both into a sealed box powered by a alpine pdx600 amplifier in my ba this thursday and am hoping i dont have to buy 2 new subs.

edit: it seems the bigger magnet on one of them us just some rubber thingo over the top of the magnet....? im gonna show the guys installing just to make sure it is going to work fine.

cheers
