I've got no dramas with the modern car.......but the holden "monaro" If they called it a taipan or somthing...i'd have more respect for it. Yea, the chrysler is a remake of the 1950's chrysler 300, to give them credit, I do believe "300c" is a unique name, the others were 300e and 300l and stuff.......same series and still a remake tho.

Likewise, I'd definately be looking at a 300C wagon for my next ride. |

(yea, im not a fan ) The XC Cobra was a story of 400 surplus blue xc shells which became a legend..... just annoys me when car manufacturers try to "revive" the classics, when I have kids, and they hear "falcon cobra" I don't want them to have a visual of a fkn BF , nor with the monaro, the torana (Which thankfully never went into production) and the lesser known chrysler 300c. i think the same like i think that FPV should make a project and go round and find a heap of old rusted out old XB XC coupes and or four doors and put the new engine in the new interior a good brake package and suspension abs etc etc and i reakon they would sell so f**k quick ( i would f**k oath)

Nah, thats further killing it, a few of dads friends were upset by the "GT" being brought back to life so many times.......eb......Ba, whatever else inbetween. They said the last GT muscle car rolled off the production line in '76....... It also upsets me to see people put 20" chromies on australian classics.......my valiant's are staying hubcapped!

Bull. Here's my old VJ with 17"'s that we pulled off my EF. We had to bore out the center on them to fit onto the Valiants hubs. Looks mad as on her! |

The 200 40th Anniversary GT's went in a similarly fast fashion.

But not in 48hrs, a mate owns one and they had a fair choice of build numbers to choose from, but all the real good numbers were gone of course, 1, "40", 100, 200 302 351 400 etc, I think they ended up taking number 26 and they had time to think about it. BTW a 40th Anniversary isn't as nice as a GTP, mate went from a BAII GTP to the 40th and was very disappointed with seats, interior etc, he didn't even realise he had a lower spec brake package as well, he does like the R spec suspension but it is available in just about anything now, he wishes they had more herbs before 4000rpm (same as the GTP), but doesn't every BOSS owner wish that. At least this Cobra isn't just cosmetic, unlike the original XC Cobra with all but 30 fitted or modified with items to allow for racing, the rest were basically a stock GS fitted with 351 or 302 Cleveland, stock 4 wheel disc brakes, special black and blue trim, sports dash, fancy paintwork and a set of mags, all done to get rid of the 500 or so XC hardtop shells which would have been left over when XD was released. Imagine if they ever release a HO. The collector bug has bitten big time after the big dollars old muscle cars are getting now, EB and EL GT's didn't sell that fast.

The GT and GTP engines have always been the same. The Cobra's 302 is the first change they've made. GTP's do get much nicer seats, and the big brakes standard. The supposed* lack of poke below 3000rpm can be readily fixed with some diff gears *Really though there's still plenty of power/torque down there (last dyno had a measuring of 480nm from about 2000rpm).
