Get my power cables from inside the car, to the battery under the bonnet?

I've read somewhere that i should use the clutch cable hole (its a ED fairmont auto)

Is there anywhere else i can run them?

you can run the cable through the wiring grommet. though you will need to either cut a hole in the grommet to squeeze the cable through, or remove the grommet, pass the cable through the hole, then try and push the grommet back in the hole with the cable being squashed...I prefer the former.

Since your car is an auto...I refer to FordFairmont's question above me.

phong =P~

you can actually run it down the side of the drivers guard and through a grommet in the side of the footwell if you prefer? I think thats where it is...

Thats how i ran mine, i found it alot neater than the firewall (clutch cable hole) option. All thats seen is some cable running in front of the battery past behind the headlight into the guard cavity.

thanks for the help guys.

I am not sure if it was the clutch cable hole, but it was directly about the foot rest pedal and has a black plug on the engine side. A perfectly sized hole for 4gauge :D

one last question, how do i go about connection it to the battery?

You can use those gold ring terminals as above and use a standard crimper with one of the grooves in the middle of the ring connector

or

You can spend $30 on a gold terminal from jaycar and bolt it straight onto that.
