i have a stone chip on my rear quater, i had a look at it the other day and it is starting to rust. i want to fix it at home with touch up paint
but am unsure what to do first. the car is white if that makes any diffrence. |

touch up paint is s**t, i wouldnt use it at all, my dad used it on his harvest green xr and got geniune ford, colour matched, but it turned out alot lighter and s**t

If you go into the right store, I dunno too much about paint but one of the local stores here has a big board with all the different colours and tones, making it easier to get a match. I think they may even have some sort of colour code to match too.

use a toothpick to apply the paint to the chip. dip the toothpick in the paint and using the pointy end put a lil dot where the chip is and continue using lil dots till the chip is all covered. it takes ages but it stops it looking like a big blotch of paint was droped on there.
