I have an AU II fairmont ghia and my radiator seems to be drinking the coolant. when i top it up with coolant/water occasionally once i turn the car off, you can hear it boiling. I replaced the stock snorkel with an AU III XR8 snorkel and my engine temp started to run cooler, but i think this porblem has now happened. do i need to put the stock snorkel on or do a cooling system flush?
also, on the plastic guard surrounding the cap where i pour my power steering fluid in, it seems to get saturated with power steering fluid. i checked there are no visible cracks and the cap is on tight, so i have no idea on how the fluid is coming up and out of there! any ideas on whats causing my dramas?

Start with a coolant flush. Cant see the snorkel having any effect on your problems. When you turn the car off water will bubble back into the resevior because of the pressure. Get your mechanic to pressurise the coolant system and check for leaks. Its common to get pinholes in the radiator grille from small rocks.
