The XR4Ti....

Only a handful were imported to Australia. As far as I know they were only made in Belgium...called the Merkur XR4Ti but imported to the UK and rebadged as a Sierra, the USA called them the Merkur and when they came to Australia they were a d**k Johnson Special Sierra.

The 2.3l was in the Mustang SVO, the Thunderbird and the Merkur. Its a Pinto engine, but nothing is interchangeable with the 1.6 or 2.0l Pinto in the escorts.

yeah i know about the 2.3 engine. they also came as a 2.5.

just never new they were ever in a sierra.

not sure where you'll get a head from last one i saw was about 3 years ago.

you can get an aftermarket alloy head from here
http://www.esslingerracing.com/index.htm

that head alone will give an extra 20hp. plus the wieght loss will help handling.
