Does anyone know if the camshaft in an AUII fairlane ghia VCT is different from the cam in an AUIII XR6? And is the VCT cam different from the standard cam in any physical way?
No one at the local fraud dealer can supply any form of info on specs or even if the part numbers differ "these numbers all supercede"

VCT and non-vct cams are different, you cant swap between them.

the fairmont and fairlane gear have the same motor as the xr6. only diff is xr6 has a sports exhaust stock so it make a couple of extra kw more. as stockstanderd said vct and non vct cams are different. just buy one from crow or jmm if your going to the trouble off changing over.
