I recently had my T5 in my xr8 rebuilt. I am not all that happy with the shift quality though. The box was an exchange unit however i am not sure whether that included the shifter or whether that was simply re-used. Can a worn shifter cause poor shifting quality?? Could it be the oil?? I am currently running VMX80. (which is what the gearbox shop put in).

Oops, forgot to ask, can anyone reccomend a good oil they use. (will the colder winter climate affect which oil i choose)?
