i would go for a 465 holley myself, good balance between economy and power, getting a bit harded to find nowadays but they are out there.

I got a 450 4 barrel economiser if your interested. You wouldn't wanna go bigger than a 500.

The 302C in my ute had a 450 Square Bore vacuum sec.
If you do the maths a 302 @ 6000rpm with a VE of 90% (mildly worked) you get roughly 470cfm. A 600 wont be needed unless you really wanna rev it or it is so worked your VE >100%, or both. Go the 465.

The 600 is a good choice for a worked 302 if you don't mind filling her up.
They do need to be jetted correctly. |

afetr having both on a 302, have decided the 465 is best for economy, but the 600 is best for performance, especially if the engine is modified. the 600 also allows for further modification of the engine in the future.

Go the 465, mech seccond.
Much better carb than the 600 vac!!! Your throttle response and fuel ecomomy will be better to.
