I'm thinking of removing my EF's factory window tints myself. Anyone have any suggestions on the best and easiest way to do it? Thanks guys.

grab it by the edge and peel it all back.... after its done make sure you get ALL the glue off the window before replacing with more tint.

I thought the EF and up has the actual glass tinted, not a roll on stuff....

Thanks guys. But do you know if there is something I can apply on the window to make it easier to peel?

be careful with the rear window mate, sometimes that rear demister strips can come off the with the tint.

Yes you need a heat gun, but beware of the smell!!!

Thanks for the warning. Yeah, actually this is my main concern hence I'm looking for an easy way to peel off the tint.

I pulled the tint of and found it a pain in the a** to remove the glue. I was going to retint anyway to I paid the tinter extra to remove glue.

if all else fails, a mate of mine got his tint taken removed for about $50 at tint-a-car, see how you go with the door windows if its not going to well might be an option to give them a call

My uncle is a tinter, and i have helped him on several occasions with removing tint. You will need a spray bottle of soapy water (dishwashing liquid) and a scraper. while keeping the window wet with the soapy water, scrape all the tint off. The actuall film will come off easily, but the glue will require you to scrape it with a SHARP blade. It takes about half an hour to do one window. In his experiance, their are tons of products that say they can remove it easily, but nothing does, and you always run the risk of damaging apholstery etc with them.
and with the rear window, you can have the tint steamed off, that may save some of your demister lines but you likely will not get the window clean enough to reaply tint without scraping, but in most cases that isn't available, in wich case you are going to loose your demister lines..
