I rewired everything, didn't mess with the ICC's wiring at all.

I ran new power and earth wires from the fuse box, and new speaker cable from the amps in the boot through to the doors.

The doors are hard to do, but the rest is easy enough. I've done a few cars now, so have a bit of experience. (don't buy korean, EVERYTHING is sharp, lost a lot of skin and blood doing a Daewoo).

that stands for all dodgey cheapo products computer cases especially you think you are fine moving your hands inside them... not the cheapo asian cases you will slice your hands to bits in no time

I kept my stereo stock as a rock and had some output box wired in (my audio vocab is rather limited) and that allows for all the subout and amp inputs.

That of course is a great option (cheap too) if you're happy with the features/sound of the ICC and just want some amplification for doof, and/or better speakers.

As for the ICC, I'd highly recommend getting better speakers first up. The stockers even in the 'premium sound' I got are woeful. I had a day during my install where all I'd done was upgrade the speakers, was a noticeable and significant improvement.

how did you end up doing the doors? i ended up using the standard cable coz it didnt seem possible without removing the whole door.

It is VERY difficult, but you can remove the sockets that connect the door to the body, and then run cable through that.

Not something I'd recommend to people unless you really need to run some high power speakers.

I've done installs in BA/BF's and I used the tissue box space. I cut the stock wiring and routed it to the aftermarket amps. Added a line in to the aftermarket headunit just in case for some reason the factory sound was required.
