I have a high end tape deck in my EL fairmont with CD stacker controls on it. My question do i buy a stacker compatiable with the genuine ford one as in the Fairmont ghia and hook it up onto the loom in the boot. All the wiring looks likes it's their, anyone done this mod.

If the wiring is there then all you need is the stacker and the stacker mounting bracket.

all you need is the stacker and the main cable from the head unit to the stacker. when you buy your stacker make sure it comes with the magizine and the cables.

if you havnt got one i can supply a tested unit with the cable.

how much for a stacker?

or better yet... for the same price as one of those stackers from ford... get a new head deck. one with MP3, then you won't even remember how to spell stacker lol. Or better yet an MP3 stacker. or a DVD stacker if they exist... but I really think it would be alot easier, to just install a new head unit with MP3.

As for my 2c, one of my friends, has a stacker from an EL Fairmont Ghia, he is still using, but kept saying how he would sell it, if someone bought it... so let me know if you want it.. but I think Darren was first on this one. lol
