Hey all, Got the EL XR6, New rear suspension 1 month old, White line sway bar, good tyres.. my question is, when I boot it and bag the rears, I get HORRID axle tramp, its done it prior to everything being done, ie suspension and swaybar, and continues to do it now. My diff needs a rebuild but it is otherwise fine, just an occasional locker not full time LSD as it should be.. My question is, will replacing the rear control arms stop/significantly reduce axle tramp? I have trouble doing a decent launch as it tands to tramp even without breaking traction sometimes.. getting real annoying!!

axle tramp is often caused by...
tyre pressure pinion angle of the drive shaft control arms try raising tyre pressure a bit first and see how you go, if that doesnt help lower it back down then try changing the control arms |

definatly not tyre related, running 38psi in the rears.. Pinon angle I doubt as it did it at stock height and now on lowered springs too, no difference.. shocks have been done as well, About the only thing I can narrow it down to is control arms and or bushes.. nore than likely control arms though.. If they are unloaded can I check for flogged bushes on the arms or just gotta pull em out to check?

It could be better if you replace them. I have never had that issue but I have lowered rear also fitted a whiteline rear bar and now LSD but when I did the diff I replaced the upper and lower arms as they are so cheap on ebay.

rears are 245/45/17's now wide, just a standard 17 inch size.. I am thinking it has to be control arms.. short of a diff rebuild, I have tried almost everything else, or changed it..

I have a ef i6 and it axel tramps alot in the wet and on grass.
I have replaced Every suspension component, top and bottom control arms, swaybays, shocks springs, watts linkage and running a 3.7 minispool diff, and it seems to axel tramps more than it did before i spent all that money

yeah all the common hores do it aswell ss utes sedans its common with everything but a set of 15' stockies on it and see if it still does it, my ute aint that bad it does it now and again but only on the initail dumb of clutch get off acc and then eas it on and she fine, cars just aint ment to do burnouts lol, its to do with your suspension stiffness and your tires tryin to gpip and they spin, when it grips it jolts the diff bounces the suspension then just causes a domino effect and keeps doin it, notice it dont do it hangin it around a corner, also be you lsd one wheel tyin to spin harder than they other lsd cones grippin ungrippin they all factor into it
