Have a Ea multi point 'mont a rattle popped up the other week but it dissappears at bout 2000rpm .... mate said it could be the torque convertor .... any help is would be awesome
I do have a leak in the rear main seal to be looked at if that helps....

the bolts on the flex plate will come loose and cause a horrible rattle...

But would that rattle stop at higher revs ????

yeah it will stop at rpm's or when its loaded up, usually they rattle at idle or just above

it is a auto if that matters .... sorry bit unmechanically minded ... and bolts are tight according to my brother....

maybe the flex plate has craked from bolt to bolt if ya get my jist...

Couldn't be the torque converter if it was manual.
