That's not the blow off valve.

Blow off valves go PSHT!!!!!!!!

Dose sounds like TSU TSU TU TTU TUTUTtututututututuuuuu uuuu uuuu
which is the sound in that clip.

Its usually as a result of running a bigger intercooler and all steel/ally intercooler piping regardless if you run a blow of valve or not. If you chose to run no blow off valve then its louder and if you are stupid enough to try your hand at accoustic tuning then you can get it pretty damn loud with a straight piece of pipe infront of the turbo. Metal airboxes also enhance the sound.

But if you're a dumb C*** who is into just the sound then fit the biggest cooler you can but run 2.5" cooler piping. Then piss your airfilter off and fit a piece of 2.5" pipe that is roughly 14cm long to the front of your turbo. People will hear it from over 1km away when you lift off.

i reckon it is the BOV, on an XR6T the standard bosch unit does make a sort of flutter, not really noticable on stock boost, but anythin over stock boost it is definitely audible.

i have also heard that having a 90deg bend in the pipe off the front of the turbo makes the dose louder??

got to love that dose.

with the gfb on plumback i get a little bit of dose and no shhhh.

if i remove my bov and block the holes up i get mega dose, it repeats like 15 times tu tu tu tu tu tu tu tu tu tu but with my modded gfb mach 1 venting to open air i get a clean wtchaaaaaaa with not a single bit of dose.

its not really a ricer thing, you get dose from plumback, or have a loud open vent, when 15 psi wants out its going to be noisy.

It's simply the wastegate flap venting off the excess boost pressure. Commonly referred to as wastegate chatter. Definitely not the blow off valve

Mine sounds a lot like that with 13psi and the factory bov and piping. I noticed when on the of intercooler pipes was a bit loose and it lost most of its boost (went like a overweight slug too) it lost all bov/wastegate/whatever noise for what its worth.

Or do you mean the high pitched squeal at about the -9 sec mark?

Just search turbo dose on youtube, and BOV on youtube and you'll soon know the difference
