Dont be so stupid two wheels in the dirt and stand on the brakes do you have a death wish or something. Just stay on the bitumen and stand on the brakes hard enough to lock the brakes you should feel the pedal pulsate thats the ABS working.

that is a lil to much but it should be all good cause when u fill the front cap with grease it goes through and also my old man told me that you should check the grease there every 3 to 6 months just to top it up.
he is a retired mechanic

Don't worry about any of this silly s**t that's been posted above.
If the ABS light comes on when you start the car, then goes out and stays out once you've taken it for a drive it is fine. Get it up to 100kph and back down again to be sure. If you go hitting the brakes hard now then you haven't given the new pads time to bed in and they'll be stuffed for the rest of their usable life. |

Just went to the shops this morning.. now the is a buzzing noise comming from the passenger side wheel, but only when there is a load on it turning right.. i think i might have got that rear seal crooked.

The verdict:
Its now fixed, i screwed up the rear seal, which meant everything was kinda loose! Grease had leaked out of the seal onto the abs wheel, and the abs sensor had a large amount of metal built up on it. We replaced the seal and did it the right way. The brake pedal has moved up about a inch, and its very firm. No more abs light, and it stops like a new car!!! very happy... Greg from HOXTON PARK AUTO PARTS supplied free labour tonight and fixed it as im a doofus!! Problem solved

Go to http://www.rdabrakes.com.au/downloads/bulletin6.pdf, there is a bulletin on there that explains a problem with the abs rings on rda rotors.

just remember guys, it is a DUST cap, not a grease cap. pack your bearings correctly and dont fill the cap up with grease.
cheers |

there is no gain or loss to putting grease in the dust cap, seems to be force of habbit for most ppl to put grease in there.
