Ok, time to bite the bullet and get AC for this summer, 2 years of sweltering weather has been ruining my summer driving. Now I just called natrad and they quoted $140, does that sound good or are there better? He also mentioned a few years back, it was cheaper as it was just a simple task of topping up the refrigerant but nowadays, there are laws so all refrigerant must be expelled and then refilled.
By the way, hasnt been blowing out cold air since I got the car, however the compressor clutch does engage correctly. If any1 knows anywhere cheap or can do it themsleves around the Melbourne Eastern suburbs, let me know. Thanks.

Have been quoted $80 for regass.
But at the same time they mentioned by law they have to fix the reason why it leaked before they can fill the system, which has detered me from doing anything about it. Could be $50 labour....... could be $500 dash out job.... |

Hmmm, $80 is reasonable provided no other problems, ne1 know a price like that in melbourne? Also, is it the same refrigerant used in house air conditioners? If so, I might ask 1 of the apprentice fridgies if they're interested in a cashie.

if its low on gas there will be a leak somewhere and it will need to be rectified
also its hard to do it as a cashie as places have to keep a record of where all the gas they use goes |
