nay1 know a place in sa to get lowering done. I got told the lowest u can go is 50mm below your normal(stock) ride height.

thus i got quoted for super low kings on my el...

the guy @ ASV wanted to charge me $450 for them which i thought was a little overpriced. He also wanted to charge me 250-300 for the camber kit

can sum1 point me in the right direction?

I got mine done at KPM (8299 9998) that was Bilstein short shocks, Whiteline Flatout springs, Whiteline front and rear swaybars, Nolathane evolution camber kit and all the bushes done in Nolathane. Cost about $6000 roughly. You will have to get camber kit AND short shocks with superlows. They will kill your standard shocks pretty quickly.

BUMP

i have found the legal limit in SA to be 500mm and that is on super lows

if i get super lows fitted can i fit a bodykit later on and keep the super lows fitted with it still being street legal?

Every car is different as some have gas tanks, large stereo systems or the car is simply a ghia which is around 80kg heavier than a gli. This means its hard to tell you what will be legal on your car. I had superlows on my El Fairmont ghia and was done for too low (7mm under legal spec of 110mm) i went for lows after that and found that it was a better handling ride but didnt look as good but could have a loaded boot and back seat without legal height hassles. I also have shortened shocks all around even on lows. The springs cost for Dobinsons $230, shortened shocks (Ultima fronts, Boge rears) $440 and Nolathane Evolution (worm type) camber/castor kit $170. All these i fitted myself but had alignment done only for $50. So all you can do yourself even the camber kit (copy old measurements till it has wheel alignment done) all this will save you hundred$$$

Superlows are illegal in SA. There is a 100mm from the ground clearance rule as well as a centre of hub to guard measurement depending on car model. Ring Regency on 1300 882 248. They will tell you the measurement for your car.

You will find that superlows on Monroe shocks will be unroad worthy as there is insufficient suspension travel (Monroe do not make a shortened shock) You can use that combination but hope that the cop that pulls you up doesnt know.

meh its not the only thing making my car unroadworthy

so being a non shortened shock, does this mean there going to get f**k very quick as someone above mentioned about stock shocks dieing fast...

The shocks will last but the bump stops wont as they will be taking all the bumps. The rear will be bouncy and a hard ride.
