not sure if its the right place to post this, but i'm having issues with my remote central locking,
When locking, sometimes it works sweet, and then some times the drivers door wont lock properly, the button just goes half down and you cant open the door slightly then it catches. The rest of the time it tries to lock cant and then the horn beeps a few times quickly. When unlocking it either works fine, or it wont unlock the drivers door. Locking unlocking with the key is fine. Boot opening on the remote is sweet. |

Maybe the Drivers door lock assembly ( the Latch) has sh!t itself.???

when u'r unlocking with the remote u'r relying on the solenoid on the door actuator to unlock the door, and when u use the key its a physical movement, i would assume the solenoid in the door lock is on its way out, if it stops working get a replacement from ford, i do not know of any1 at the moment who overhauls door lock actuators. ford have since changed door lock suppliers, so if u get a new 1 be sure to get the addapting wiring loom as well.

Mine did that, it was a broken actuator. I *think* the older B-series used plastic parts and the new ones have metal parts that arn't as prone to breaking as the earlier ones.

when you say actuator do you men the arm that is driven by the solenoid movement or the actual solenoid.
Might have to get in touch with Darren from FTG to get a spare, i can't stand fords prices on replacement parts. |

a second hand one which isnt the updated part wil ldo it again, so i nthe long run your better off getting a new one with the steel gears inside

do you mean the actual solenoid or the actuator arm?
So were the older style solenoids on the piss a bit? |

the actuater, soliniod is what everybody is sayin not the arm as its rare for one of them(unless you own a x series but thats a different story lol)
but very common for that to give out the ghoast best of buyin new
