Hi guys, can anyone tell me why I can hear a squealing noise every time I accelerate from a standstill in first gear? It’s only for a second or so but it’s getting annoying. Someone told me it’s because I’ve got a sports gear box. Is that true?

I just bought the car from an auction. It’s an XR6 turbo ‘03 and its had a bit of work done to it like lowering and after market air filter, and from what my mechanic friend tells me, a sports gear box.

Also, just wanna know if all ba manual xr's have a heavy clutch? or is it just coincidence that i come across them.
