ive read threads on here about falcons being tested at high speeds have snapped tailshafts. is this just commonly a falcon thing or does this happen to alot of cars?
reason im asking is ive got a mate who likes to flog his vs home early in the morning after work he rekons he's got to 190.
ive told him he's a d***head and warned him about this happening, he turned around and said its probs just another s**t ford problem(typical holden driver)...
he is a d***head lol but i dont wanna see him dead coz his car shat its self at such high speeds on a public road

His tailshaft might not snap but he probably will end up wrapped around a tree if he hits anything at that speed.

If his car isn't speed limited, then I'd say it'll probably be alright.
AFAIK the Falcons (non XR's) are speed limited to prevent the tailshaft failing.
The Tickford models got a different shaft- alloy not steel I think.

i think commodores have the two piece tailshaft to solve this problem ???

i f**k hate driving in commodores at low speeds when they hit the accelerator and you hear that lash from the tail shaft
