will a 5 speed from a 6cyl EL handle my V8 EF, just the box, I realise the bell housing etc woun't match, and what price should I pay.

It won't fit.

ok it'll fit, but the input shaft won't reach the crank.


Theres 2 differences with the T5's v8 vs. 6
1: Length of input shaft.
2: gear set (simular strength)

You may be able to get a crs or dellow bell housing to fit a 6 to an 8, but then you'll have prop shaft issues and shifter position and rear engine mount differences.

You can retro fit a input shaft fron an 8, but you HAVE to have the correct tooth config.
