Hey guys couldnt find using the search but im sure its been asked b4 so sorry but will a EF/EL xr6 diff fit an auto EF fairmont? does it have to be and auto one or are the manual ones the same?
Also are they 3.45?

all xr6 diffs are 3.45

and yes it will fit

EF and EL diffs are different. The upper mounting brackets are different.
The EF has one hole, and the EL have 2 holes with threads and one without. The pic is an EL diff.

also, the EL upper control arms are different. and the handbrake cable.

99% sure lower control arms are the same, but double check

yeah true. my advice is for if you change the entire diff over
