Hi guys, just bought an xr6 turbo '03 manual tran. Can anyone recommend some car maintenance products: what type and brand of engine oil to use, that type of thing. Also, is it true that i should only use premium unleaded for my car?

Thanks All

according to what ive been told by peter warren ford only use semi synthetic oil in them not fully synthetic we use penrite 5w 40 in ours and you can run normal unleaded fuel in them but ive noticed when i use unleaded in mine the consumption is higher and there is a slight performance loss. i change the oil every 7500kms and have had no problems. depending on how many kays your car has you should do a coolant and brake fluid flush too.

Why would you not use fuly synthetic oil?????? Its what Ford use in the Typhoons.

Coolent fluch, brake fluid, powersteering fluid, oil and filter at LEAST every 7,500km. IF you are up near the 100k mark and i mean on or above it you should prob replace ur plugs soon. and get your diff oil done to.

they reckon fully synthetic glazes the bores on the engine. i would prefer to use fully synthetic myself but they dont recommend it.
