Alright guys i hoped i would never have to make a thread like this but being an E series it was only a matter of time.

Anyways heres the go, Driving home from work today and noticed a slight miss as i went to take off. Done a few laps of the main and didnt seem to notice it anymore. Got home n went to just give it a little bit in the dirt and it done it again. I sprayed the throttle body with the nulon cleaning crap and put in some injector cleaner then took it for a little strap out the road. So anyways it got a bit worse and now its hardly running.

It has lost spark to cylinder 5 somehow.
Barley idling
Seemed like it was also spitting crap ot the exhaust. Tiny flakes which could of been part of the head gasket.

It only took it about 30 mins to go from a tiny miss to barley running now. Need some ideas and previous experiences guys.

Also does anyone know the price of an AU head gasket?

Replace your leads for starters, if its missing on 5, that would be my first point, or test it with a ohm meter, see if its the same as the others. Or use a spare lead to see if it misses, then you know its the lead.

maybe try a coil as well. afaik, they let go every now and then. (in saying that i am guessing you have an EF from your profile)

as for gasket, just ring repco, that where i got the gasket i needed from.

Pieces of head Gasket exiting from exhaust?? Now I've heard it all. This imo is impossible.

But bits of CAT are not. I don't think its the coil pack unless two cylinders are not sparking, more likely plug leads.

Can you see the spark is not there on No.5 or is this by deduction?
