Does anyone have info on Beeps that aren't documented in the user manuals in the EL instrument cluster?
Obviously everyone has heard the "Headlights on" beeps, and most will have heard the "low fuel" and "Overspeed" that come from the Trip computer data, but what about others? I had Low Oil Pressure on a really hot day a few weeks ago, (enough for the light to JUST come on, and has since been fixed) and I got a series of 5 beeps, (which some will know is also supposed to be the Airbag warning!) Are there any others that people have heard? |

the other day when i was playing round with my thermos i unplugged the temp sensor and i had a beeping fit at me. but other than that thats the only beep i have ever heard from it

I had quite a few weird ones come up on my NL,
SLS (if you have it) and theres anothe rone that drove me CRAZY when i first got the car, never found out what it was BUT in your case it could be the cluster thats bugg3rd, OR, a warning globe is out, and its warning you wiht the beeps, try getting someone elses cluster that you know is perfect, switch it...if it makes the noise..then you know its not hte cluster.. hope this helps a bit - Ash

the ones that I have had in mine are:
Airbag Low oil pressure High Temp low fuel lights on

Low oil pressure is one i get often, but when i took it to the mechanic to get it checked out they said there was nothing wrong with the oil
Apart from that just the headlight one and the 'low front' scraping sound alert (lol!)

I dont remember my EL doing it but its possible.... My BA does... Just a thought
