I'm looking at a PWR automatic transmission oil cooler for my car. Is there such a thing as too big? i.e. could the oil get cooled too much and be colder than optimal operating temperature?
I was eyeing off the large V8 one, which is about 3x larger than the facotry for external cooler. http://www.pwr.com.au/oil_transmission_plate.html |

i wouldn't think cooling the oil for the auto too much would be a problem, as when u first run the car the oil is cold and everything goes fine. only thing i would keep in mind is how much of the cooler is going to be in front of the condensor then radiator, spose in tas temps are cooler then qld so that wouldn't matter too much.

I'd fit the V8 one anyway, it couldn't hurt too much.

f**k man u should know this s**t by now
heat is the auto tranny's biggest killer of course it wont hurt if it is too big the oil will still get hot numbnuts! the bigger cooler allows for a larger volume of oil to be held and if it starts to heat up the bigger cooler increases this time fit it ffs
