Gday all
after sorting out a s**t storm of problems with my ED i have encountered one that has me stumped,
its an I6 falcon i recently changed the inlet manifold gasket, fuel rail ect
while i was at this i gave the throttle body a bit of a clean with carby cleaner, i also nicked a jerry of petrol (that he owed me) from my mate, unknowingly he had put bleach in there for some reason, now ever since, at takeoff its been spluttering, back fireing then screaming into life.
happens all the time, so i changed the leads plugs, disy cap and rotor button, still no joy the surgeing is less severe but still there
any suggestions
any help greatly appriciated
cheeres steve

how long has the bung fuel in the car,,you may need to waite for it all to be used then change your fuel pump as they don't like bleach.

fill it up with premium and run it for a while and see what happens.

It'd be a good idea to syphon out as much of the fuel as possible prior to refilling the tank. You may want to disconnect the fuel line just before the engine and and try clearing it with compressed air (if it gets past the pump)
