i want to tap a 3/16npt into my turbo housing... what size drill bit do i need?

3/16 works out to about 4.7 mm so I'd be saying a 3.7 (make it a 3.5 and give it a slight ream).

Probable better using a 3.5 as it is a tapered thread too, I'd be saying you'd be using thread tape of some sort??
