I'm looking at doing a manifold upgrade to free up some more power on a 347 stroker, currently using AU upper and lower manifolds and 70mm TB, and can't decide whether to use the Edelbrock Performer RPM II or one of the Trickflow manifolds (Track Heat, R-Series or Box-R-Series) with a 75mm TB.
Any advice would be much appreciated. |

It's a Ford Racing stroker with X303 GT40 aluminium heads, X303 roller cam, 1.6 roller rockers, 10:1 compression, ceramic tri-y headers, no cats (NZ, don't need 'em), 2.5" big bore, auto trans with stock convertor.

OK, as i have stated a few years ago, the RPMII was tested by 5.0 and super fords on a 347 using afr 185's X303 and shot tube headers, This was an engine dyno, and the RPMII came out as the best of the lot. Tested was a track heat, Cobra, RPMII and the Holley Systemax and BBK SSI. The rankings were as follows for tourque and horsepower
1 RPMII 2 Systemax 3 Track heat 4 BBK 4 Cobra Of not was the fact the RPMII made torque aerlier and longer than the others, but the Cobra made the most torque earlier on, but fell away from 4500rpm Brett

good thing about the Edelbrocks is the removeable plenum cover so you can get in there and port them and tidy up the casting
Etchells race parts in tauranga had some a while back for $900 thought that was quite reasonable |

Brett, do you know if that was with a 70 or 75mm throttle body?

was with a 70mm, and the used fast engine management to maintain consistency.
