Just purchased above vehicle on after market dual fuel. Has some problems. On trailing throttle above 1500rpm, a*** transition to on throttle - would say ECU is cutting injector pulse. Previous owner says ECU and wiring harness not changed. Gearbox is ex XR6, motor is AU series 3, cam is Wade 1636, has extractors and 2 1/2" exhaust with 3" cat (still quiet with no drone). On petrol has inconsistent idle (sometimes stalls stopping at traffic lights) and on gas, idle sometimes oscillates from 500 to 900 rpm. Have had SNAPON scanner readout. Codes are 126, 214, 412, 173, 411, 521, 129 & 167. Car performs very well and has overall 10l/100kms fuel economy (10% of time on petrol).
Question is what do I do to ECU and/or wiring harness to have continuous injector pulse, even on trailing throttle + what else do I need to do to get unit performing to its optimum. Am 56 yrs old so my hooning days are over though do give it a squirt now and then. Have owned Fords for years and am very happy with them. Vehicle is mainly commuter use, about 45K per annum.
Appreciate any assistance from the technophiles.

Bob,
Great example of a good post with plenty of info.
If anyone can sort it out, Joe can, take up his offer and give him a call, then when it's all sorted would you let us know what the problem was?
Cheers,
Paul
