I have a 1995 5.0L NF Ford Fairlane which sometimes gets a bit of a fuel smell inside the car, I can't find any fuel leaks and think that it may be the charcoal canister causing the problem.
I went to an auto shop, they have no canisters, so I went to Ford and they said that they have discontinued them. I know it is a common problem with ef el falcons and fairlanes etc. What can be done to fix this problem? Can they be rebuilt or use one from a different car? |

I remember there was a problem with some canisters where they were connected back to front from the factory. Just an idea to check.

It will be the little solenoid connected to one of the hoses coming off the canester.
Get one from the wrecker, Ford want $150 for a new one!
