when im driving in drive my gear box jumps from D to 3 when i go over bumps does any boys ea falcon do this is it fuked frm me slamming it into first when hooning around there is a lot of movement in teh gear box stick when drivin it moves withh the road

another reason to convert it to manual or sell the ea.

have you pulled the console out to see if theres a loose bolt or something yet? when you pull it all out you should be able to see the top of the box, and shake the stick around to see where the problem is.

there is a bolt at the bottom of the stick, where it pivots under the console.

tighten that up. should fix your problems.

I have been meaning to get around to nipping mine up for a while now.

you slam it into 1st!, i dont no how your gearbox is still going, probly the worst thing i can think of doing to your tranny. apart from redlining in neatral then putting it into drive lol.

lol yeah ive done that before and heard the biggest snap lol i have to dump it in first other wise the car is so slugish and doesn't get of its a*** and move i need to do diff gears or get the piece of s**t auto out and get that t5 in it cheers fellas 4 the help im gonna try tightening that bolt

oi and geeza200 how does the shift kit go i was thinking of puting one in my car but have a few queeries because of how dodgey ea boxes are do u get huge skreechies in2 second

Yeah the shift kits works nice, i got it turned up just over half way and its chrips into second and jumps from 80ks to 95ks when it changes. Makes the gearbox feel stronger and the downshifts are heaps harder also.

You may also need to replace the gear shifter bushes too.
