What level is your trans. fluid at now?
Did you take the gearbox out when you did the engine change or was left in the car hooked to its harness?

Sorry for the short info. Transmission was kept in the car when we pulled the engine out torque converted was checked before we put he engine back in. The Fluid & Wires are all pluged in and fluid is full. I just rechecked the torque converter and blots they are fine. I only got Park,Reverse and 1st. When you take off you can put your foot flat to the floor at 50 - 60 and nothing at all. The only thing i can think of is my netural switch is stuffed. Any help would be good

Cheers Rick

As you didn't remove the shift linkages, they should not be out. If the car is starting in neutral and park, also you have first and reverse why do you think it's the neutral switch?
Recheck the loom connections for bent pins or debris, or crushed wiring behind the engine.
Put your old Throttle Position Sensor back on, or clean your 'new' one and its connector. If you changed ECUs, try your old one if you can. If there's no mechanical failure, some electronic signal is obviously not getting through to the box telling [or allowing] it to change up. I thought those signals came from the ECU and that gets its' info from the sensors.
Check all your fuses.
Paul

if the nc is the upmarket ea eb1 then it has a seperate transmission control mudule,,it hides up under the dash on the left of the park brake.

that could be stuffed or the signals aren't getting through.
