too much to bother with, complete ECU change, mounts, the crazy cost involved.. the box will cost as much as your car..
if you want a six spped, buy a ba./bf

Which 6 speed? T56 or ZF?

I would probably assume its the ZF, as he appears to be talking about a LWB land yacht..
It would be a HELL or alot of screwing around. for example, when the 6 pseed auto was introduced to run the 6 speed auto properly, Ford introduced anouther 3000 Lines of code exclusivly to cope with the box. To find an aftermarket ecu capable of supporting the box is one thing tuning the box ECU to do both engine and box is something else again. I think its about 6 for the box, give or take, call it 2k for an ECU, motec I think offers support, customer bellhousing, I can assure you its not gonna bolt straight up, alot of time custom tuning the ECU and developing a base tune. should I go on? and remember, at this point its not in the car yet. custom fabrication and so on, engineers reports.

I thought he meant manual, in which case much cheaper and easier than suggested. Thats if you can find a t56 second hand.

2006 Fairmont Ghia. There an amazingly lot of car for very small in comparitive terms, second hand dollars.
Even better still. 2006 Fairlane Ghia. It is not in any way, logical, why you'd go down the path your post seems to suggest. Manual, different story of course. It's been done. |

ZF is difficult enough to retrofit to a BA let alone an E-series.
