Hi guys tried searching but xg is to short of a word, just wondering if a AU XR6 motor would bolt into an XG ute?

i think it be very similair to getting it into an ED or something just grind the front flutes in of the alloy sump and then chucking it in and use the au or xh gear... but then i think the airbox would be an issue as the xg airbox is the same as ea but with a complletely different air induction setup...

so would it be safe to say the XG engine bay is the same as the XH?

and the same as a ea eb ed ef el kind of get my drift.

they are all pretty much the same and if you are competent enough to do the engine swap chances are you can make it fit even if it isnt exactly the same as the sedans/xh

the xg engine bay is not the same as the ea-b-d or xh engine bay's . it's the same as an xf 's bay and in short if you use the xg engine mount's and brackets it will bolt strait up . you will need to get the sump cut back a far bit for it to fit in .and for the air intake just use aftermarket pipe's and pods.
