is it because the ford motors(v6) were not meant for performance or is mine f**k.

I find that when i accerlerate hard that it takes a while for the motor to kick in and go hard.

it quite annoys me for i was dragging my friend off @ the lights the other day and he was driving a s**t camry wagon like 90 model and im driving a 97 el futura with stage 2 trans. His car was manual but i only just bet him...

mind you we prob only went 70 k's max bcoz we had 2 turn @ the next lights....

is their something im missing??? would my EL whoop him in the higher gears???

yeh the falcons are not made for take offs as they have a high first gear.

Probably find weight is an issue to (in comparison)
I know my BA struggles off the line, mainly coz of the weight and its stock diff... but first gear being so massive doesnt really help either.

3:45 gears in LSD make my EB jump out of the box, but makes for expensive highway driving. As always, life is full of compromises.

I love my kick in, the revs shoot up and then when it engages a second later, it launches.
