Hi all, can anyone tell me what I should check when I have a data link fault as my auto tranny is selecting gears all over the place!

I`ve had the tranny checked and he said the tranny was fine and that the problem was electrical, replace computer & no difference any advice would be a great help. merry christmas to one & all.....

Sounds like the Neutral start switch on the lefthand side of the box.

no, smartlock has nothing to do with it. as cjh suggested maybe try changing the neutral switch / gear position switch as its a common cause also while your there check the plug that goes into the side of the trans

neutrel switch,Are you talking about the inhibit switch on the LHS of the box ? Because I have replaced that & checked out the plug for loose wires & electrical current, still no difference!
