Hey guys,

About to mount up a 3lt surge tank and 044 into my BA.
Tossing up if I should stick it all in the boot or under the boot.
I'd rather it in the boot but will it put out fumes?

Anyone done it without getting fumes in the car?

It will be unroadworthy with it in the boot, and if a leak occurs, look out.
Much better putting it under the car, or have it incorporated inside the tank.

have u thought about mounting it up where the process west kit mounts?

Its too big for that position.
Its just a tempory one until I have some better custom made ready.
I just need a surge tank on the car right now so im not too stressed with where it goes, just dont want fumes lol

Fuel (or some chemicals in fuel) permeates thru fuel lines (you cant see it or feel it, you can only smell it). Proper fuel injection line has a viton lining that helps prevent fuel permeation but it will still stink. So unless you are using metal lines everywhere you are better off having it outside the car.

Rubber lines will always stink and really should not be used in the boot, unless of cause you dont mind getting cancer or brain damage from the fumes
