Nope .. EL one bolts in, and connected allright but the electrics from the sep auto computer does not run the EL box right ..

Yes thats an ED with the auto computer built into the ECU .

Remember EA-EB1 have a sep. auto computer . Next to the brake pedal.

maybe the trans computer or TPS is stuffed. They should all be compatible.

Else change it over to EB2 looms + ECU :)

Oh yes you are right there ,thanks for telling me that I nearly sold a Ef box to a dude who has an Ea he backed out at the last minute didnt have the cash, just entered that info into my databank (brain) for future reference

they bolt straight in and work OK we have sold plenty of them even had one fitted to my EB1 GHIA and i drove that around for over a year.


you might have another problem somewhere ?

You had no problems in the gear changes? .. or the problem im having is its not going into 4th gear .

Now, This auto as perfect when it was removed from Bozz's EL fairmont .. I was thinking it has something do to with the sep auto computer, or Pin outs different ..? .

no problems at all.
i have also fitted AU 5ltr autos into the early NC V8 fairlanes without a problem.

Okay, Thinking it could well have something to do with the TPS or the BBM that got installed too .

Put the other box the eb1 one back in, and still no 4th gear, anyone give me any hints/tips about the tps? .
