Hey, im having trouble with the el, Most of the time you have to shift it out of park and put it back in to try and get it to start.
Is there a solution to the problem? Cheers! |

Is that the switch that reconises when it is in park or neutral? Do you have to get under the car to locate or pop the plate cover on the T-bar off?? Cheers |

When I had my old EF Ghia, I had a problem with mine...it wa sa s**t to get off...pretty much rusted on and had to smash it to get it off...but it should be easy to get off if not rusted...
If you do manage to get it out, try cleaning it first before buying one...open it up and clean all the contacts. |

had the same problem with my ef bought anew inhibiter switch --no difference -- the contacts on the smart lock computer plug get corosion or dust in them (a real prick to get at) hold the key on start position and bump the dash between the centre concole and the steering coloum if the engine starts then this your problem ==mine has been like this for the last 12 months
